I do not offer alterations such as chain length or ring size on already made pieces. Please make sure the size/length is what you want BEFORE you purchase. This information is always in the item listing. Thank you!


Payments through PayPal or credit card are accepted.

PAYPAL no longer requires you to have and account with them to use their services at checkout.


Please note that items paid for with a Paypal e-check cannot be shipped until the e-check clears.  This is not an instant transfer and can easily take 4 - 7 days. International e-checks can take even longer.  You can tell that your check has cleared once its status changes from Pending to Completed.


We offer USPS First Class shipping with delivery confirmation to our customers in the US or the option to pick up items in person.  Should you receive an item that is damaged please contact us immediately.

We pack each item securely and carefully so it is not damaged.  All items ship in a jewelry box made from recycled materials, which has a sticker of my shop logo on it. Inside the box, your piece safely rests on cotton filling. If the item is too big for a jewelry box it is shipped instead in a bundle of bubble wrap inside of a USPS mailer.  The jewelry box or mailer (with your item inside) ships along with a business card in a crinkle-paper filled shipping box.

Packages are usually shipped within 48-72 hours of placing your order.  Items shipped within the US should be delivered to you within a week of your order being placed.  International orders must be brought to the post office and from the time they are mailed, they could take 1-8 weeks for delivery. 

All US shipments are sent with delivery confirmation, so that we can track when your package is received, or where it may be if you haven't received it. You will receive a tracking number via email.  Please save this email if you have any interest in following your package's whereabouts.

As we rely on delivery confirmation to assure that you have received your package, insurance is included in our US shipping. 

International Shipping

International shipments may have additional import charges, duties, and/or VAT fees which are imposed by your country.  These additional fees are the responsibility of the purchaser.  Please be aware of what your country's regulations are.  We will not mark an order as a gift.  Please do not ask, as this is an illegal practice.

If your package is returned to us due to you not paying these fees, please note that your shipping fees are non-refundable, and there will be a 10% re-stocking fee for your item(s).  If you request to have us resend your items, additional shipping fees may be charged.  Your postal service gives you ample time to pay for and pick up your package.  Some even allow you to pay the fees online, and will deliver the package in your mailbox once the duties have been paid.

Due to inefficient postal regulations and US Trade rules we regrettably cannot ship to the following. We obtain our information from the United States Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) website:  https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/sanctions/Programs/Pages/Programs.aspx.    If you should place an order to one of these countries your order will be canceled and funds returned.

Items lost during delivery

Refunds for items lost in shipping will be made ONLY AFTER 30 days from the original ship date (domestically) or 60 days from the original ship date (international). On the few occasions I have had lost items they eventually appeared. 30 days allows for the possibility of the item turning up. Items for which delivery confirmation shows delivery was completed successfully will NOT be issued refunds as 'lost'.

Care of Jewelry

Out pieces of artisan jewelry are handmade with natural stones, thus are delicate. Please refrain from vigorous, messy, or wet activity while wearing my pieces.  Do not shower, bathe, swim, or wash your hands (wearing rings, cuffs, or bracelets) in the pieces.  For more information, please read our Care of Jewelry page.

Refunds and Exchanges

To avoid the need for refunds or exchanges, PLEASE read shop listings thoroughly. I work hard to write clear and concise descriptions that contain all the information necessary to avoid confusion and make an informed purchase. Most issues are easily avoided by a thorough read of the item's listing and examination of the photos.  If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to message me.

No returns or exchanges will be based on wrong size.  Please know your size before ordering my jewelry!  I recommend knowing your ring and knuckle ring sizes. Please read bracelet and necklace listings thoroughly, as the measurements of each are included. A bracelet or necklace may look one way modeled in the photos and differently on you. Know your body, know what chain lengths and bracelet sizes work for you. Thank you.

DO NOT SHIP A RETURN BACK WITHOUT CONTACTING US! You will need the address for return shipping.  If you ship back an item that is not within our return guidelines you will NOT receive a refund as we cannot accept returns on these items.  These include all pierced earrings.

If a product is not to your liking, but not defective, you may return the item at your own expense within 14 day (two weeks) of receiving it. It must be unused and in its original condition. At our discretion, we will issue a credit, exchange or a refund of the original purchase price, minus the original shipping.  Shipping will be paid by us only if the item is due to an error.  Refunds will be paid in the same form it was received. A credit may be used within 6 months of the date of issuance of the credit. If your credit is not used within this time period it becomes void.

We suggest using signature confirmation so that you know your item was received if it was returned. Delivery confirmation only confirms delivery even if it's to the wrong address!  A signature will confirm that we personally signed and received your item.

No refunds on pierced items due to health and safety laws.  Thank you for understanding.


We will guarantee handmade items for 30 days with normal wear and tear.  Should something happen to the item due to a defect in craftsmanship within this 30 days please contact us and we will fix the item at no cost to you. This determination is at our discretion.  Should it be beyond 30 days we may consider fixing the item for you at a fee.


Except as specifically stated on this website, or as otherwise required by applicable law, neither Carou’s Curiosities nor its employees, content providers, affiliates or other representatives will be liable for damages of any kind (including, without limitation, lost profits, direct, indirect, compensatory, consequential, exemplary, special, incidental, or punitive damages) arising out of your use of, your inability to use, or the performance of this website or the content whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
